Today we will discuss a bit about an idea I have heard of somewhere on the internet. orchids taking even a year to actually start growing.
▼▼▼More info below!▼▼▼

First off, we are talking here about orchids with continuous growth, mainly Oncdiums, Phalaenopsis, Cattleyas and most common orchids on the market. They usually take a month or a bit more to at least start root production.

There are however some rare cases in which orchids exist, without starting growth, for almost a year or more. During this time they usually get dehydrated to the point of no return.

One day we just wake up with the orchid starting root growth out of the blue, starting to hydrate and practically grow.. after one year. Why does this happen? Your guess is as good as mine :/
