I used to report my Phals as soon as I brought them home. I use leca mixed with very small seramis which are placed in a plastic pot with holes.

Thank you Valentina Phal. I check and see the roots as all my orchids are in plastic pots. The one in original plastic pots stay moist for about 6 days.
The repotted one look and feel dry in a day. I will water them every 2-3 days and see what happen.
Do you wait till all the roots look silver?
I just purchased phal from a store and noticed fungi in the pot. So, I repotted it in a plastic container with lots of holes and Miracle grow Pal mix. The media is almost all bark.
It does not hold moisture! The roots look all silver every morning. I let my Phal sit in a water filled pot for 30 min.
