Cut woulds from leaves and stems of orchids are a door for bacterial and fungal problems. It doesn’t always happen, but when an infection starts it can cause a lot of trouble to our orchid. For this reason it’s a good idea to take some precautions when cutting any portion of our orchid. Hydrogen peroxide and cinnamon powder are our best friends.
