    Hi,

I have this orchid witch suffered from root rot, stem rot and is in very bad shape, I was forced to cut the stem very high up.
It is currently staying in a jar with water and 2 drops of Atonik solution.

    I will appreciate any suggestion.

    Thank you.

Oh dear, this does not look good… With plump sympodial orchids this wouldn’t be a big problem in the most cases but with sympodials it’s another story. I don’t think it will survive no matter what you do but i am glad you try it anyway. I would do it too 😉
Anyway i am not a big fan of letting orchids sit in water so i would put it in damp sphagnum moss but there are so many people out there and so many different opinions abput that so it is just up to you weather you try the moss or not :)

Hi Adi – how did your orchid do – could you save it? – if so (what I hope) tell us how you did it – we can all learn from it
I had a Phal with the same problem – I placed it in a little container with some damp microfiberstrips around it – kept it damp – but it died – hope you have more luck – let us know.
